Kirsty Fionagh Robson
I am a HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist, currently working as the clinical lead in a large school in North-East London. I grew up in the South-East of England, although I am of Scottish heritage. I support clients to explore and understand their early experiences, and how these may unconsciously be impacting their present behaviours and feelings. I support individuals to use creativity and play as mediums through which to explore these experiences.
Although my approach is primarily psychodynamic, I have trained and worked alongside Person-Centred Counsellors, Dramatherapists, Music Therapists, and Dance Movement Psychotherapists. I have integrated elements of their approach into my practice, particularly those who adopt an embodied approach to therapeutic work. I am interested in the impact stress and trauma can have on our physical bodies, and through Art Therapy I invite clients to move beyond the spoken word and to delve into their embodied, lived experiences.

I access training on a regular basis to widen the scope of my practice and to ensure I am practicing safely. I make it a priority to keep up-to-date with current therapeutic research and findings. I receive fortnightly supervision from a registered supervisor to ensure the safety of all clients, following a robust framework around Child and Adult Protection and Safeguarding. I am a member of the British Association of Art Therapy and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
I also have my own creative practice.
